Legal Aid Manitoba

Legal Aid Manitoba provides legal services to low-income adults and youth in Manitoba. They provide more representation services to more people and in more areas of law than any other provincial legal aid plan.

The Foundation is required by The Legal Profession Act to grant 50% of its interest revenue to Legal Aid Manitoba.

Law Society of Manitoba

The Law Society of Manitoba is the regulatory body of lawyers in Manitoba and their aim is a public well-served by a competent, honourable and independent legal profession.

The Foundation is required by The Legal Profession Act to grant 16.67% of its interest revenue to the Law Society. The Law Society uses this money for education and to cover expenses related to ensuring lawyers instruct their financial institutions to send interest earned on their pooled trust accounts to the Foundation.
